The Replacement: She lost her baby. Now she wants mine!

She thought the haunting ended when she left Geto Lane.
She was wrong.
When Lakisha visits an abandoned home in rural South Carolina, she expects dust, silence, and a quick walkthrough. Instead, she meets a woman in the kitchen—humming gospel, frying catfish, and speaking in riddles about a baby that isn’t there.
Days later, Lakisha discovers she’s pregnant… and the haunting follows her home.
Shadows crawl under tables. A baby’s handprint appears on her mirror. Her family sees things they shouldn’t. And the humming—soft, slow, gospel—echoes from inside her own body.
The woman who died in that house lost her child long ago.
Now she wants Lakisha’s.
As the ghost tightens her grip, Lakisha learns the truth about Tyrece—the man trapped between life and death—and the curse that binds them all. With her unborn child’s life on the line, Lakisha must fight a spirit who believes she’s entitled to a replacement.
She can run from the house.
But she can’t run from what’s already inside her.
A chilling Southern horror about motherhood, possession, and a ghost who refuses to let go.

The Hallow Veil: Summary

I wrote this book. In the middle of the night due to having insomnia due to having medical issues that does not allow me to sleep. This book kept me busy and brainstorming.

This book is available on Amazon as eBook or Paperback! The book is also on Lulu in hardcover form. By reading or sharing this book, you're not only diving into an eerie and unforgettable narrative — you're helping me access vital medical treatments and support.

Every purchase makes a difference! This book is also great for the fall season that is coming! The second book is also in the making and I am aiming to release it around August- September!

Book two starts where book one ends!

Summary: In a world where memory blurs and transformation is inevitable, The Hallow Veil unravels the story of souls caught between what was and what could be. Through eerie landscapes steeped in folklore and haunted symbolism, a grieving protagonist confronts the emotional residue of loss, identity, and longing. Scarred mirrors, lingering fog, and spectral echoes weave together a chilling mythology that explores not just the supernatural—but the depths of the human psyche.

Crafted during sleepless nights and born from real-life adversity, this poetic horror tale blends emotional realism with gothic unease, inviting readers to lose themselves in a narrative that is as personal as it is haunting.
