Selling photos seems like a handful of Cons

Let me just say, if you are looking for quick cash and trying to sell your photos, photography is not it. 

It takes a while for photos to sell due to the market being so saturated and everyone doing it. This is not a main job this is a side gig and hustle and it will take years for you to generate anything if you actually do at all.

I have my photos published on Shutterstock, Adobestock, Dreamstine and I feel like I am not being seen. I have had photos up since 2017 and I only sold my first sets in 2021, 2022 and 2025 and that was it. I only made like $1.19 and that was it. Keep in mind it takes $25.00 for payout here.

On Shutterstock a lot of my photos are under data licensing and they will not show up on Shutterstock but on other networks which sucks because they don't show up on my page or portfolio for others to buy.

On Adobestock, they only accepted so many photos and I only made $1.25 and that was around 2018. It takes about. It takes $25.00 to get cashed out.

500px I have yet to make anything and some of the commenter are bots trying to scam using telegram. Also on the free plan you can up load 21 photos a week.

Dreamstime, I have not sold anything there and it takes about $100 to get paid out.

Viewbug I don't have it set up to sale because it feels like a hassle and on the free plan you can only upload 5 photos a week.

I started putting my photos on my ko-fi shop hoping someone could see my photos and I can get some sales but unfortunately it came to the same outcome.

Don't get me wrong, I love photography. I love capturing the nature it's my passion and hopefully one day I can get another DSLR due to having to sell it in 2025 after having it since 2017.

The long road of freelancing | My view

 Being a freelancer is not for the weak. It takes a lot of time, and effort to get yourself know and then when you think you have you footing anything and everything can knock you off so do not get to cocky. 

I am a freelancer but I am also an affiliate marketer and when I tell you I have done this for 9 years let me just say there were a lot of roads that I had to travel and a lot of ropes that I had to grab quickly. A lot of people are affiliate marketing so do not be surprised when you make barely anything from it.

 Also watch contracts with companies because sometimes you do not make nothing but change. It takes a lot of dedication and thinking to create blog post, social media posts and try to entice people to buy things. It is not easy to do and  you have to be creative and find a lot of places to be seen. I currently use Tumblr, reddit, BlueSky, twitter(X) and Facebook, Pinterest to be seen. I also used Quora but they banned my first account and I do not feel like remaking it. I had a lot of wondering why it isn't working a lot of what ifs, a lot of questions and a lot of frustration but eventually it worked out but it is not always steady and not always certain. Be sure to use tags on social media to pull your audience and get seen more.

 What I am trying to say is be sure you have multiple modes and sources of income. Do not quit your main job thinking this is going to take flight instantly. Not saying it cannot but it does take a long time for it to do anything.

I am not just an affiliate marketer. I am also a content creator and make gaming content on Youtube, Twitch occasionally, Tiktok and Rumble(Due to the way I record my vids, I cannot upload some). I also have a gaming blog.

What started affiliate marketing for me 9 years ago was adult toys. I was selling adult toys and still sell  them for two different companies. Here is my adult blog if anyone is interested.

There are different levels to this that you are going to have to do to make it and sometimes, you are going to be a bird with no wings and got to figure out how to fly because it may seem easy but it is not. Don't give up doing this because eventually it will work out.

 If you are like me, we are always looking for places to sell photos and a lot of places can be a bust. I found places such as 500px, Adobe Stock, Shutter Stock and Viewbug, Dreamstine are all good options.

 However, Shutterstock and Adobe Stock are real particular with what is uploaded and will not accept them if there is anything wrong with the image or if it looks similar to something someone already posted.

I enjoy using these websites because it is easy to upload my photos and it lets me know that I am being seen. People can go around like, comment and give awards to your photos and if you submit the licensing then they have potential to sale. 

Let me be clear. Not all photos are going to sale and this is not quick cash. It can take months and years to sell photos and there will be a lot of trial and error however, you will never know something if you don't ever step out your comfort zone and try.

Photography and other tips!

When doing photography on a newborn white noise is the best! It keeps them from being fussy and calms them. 

If they start crying take their passy and put it in their mouth (DON'T FORCE IT!) When they seem like they are alright take the passy and quickly snap a photo. 

Use natural light from windows if the light is to bright use a very thin white sheet over the window to create a solar effect to create a white light balance

If using light kits with no filters use a white piece of paper to bounce light on to subject or around into your photo

There is so much you can do. 

Editing is a whole different topic the best software I have found for editing would be Photoshop and Illustrator, Indesign is for like invitations and books but they all run smoothly if you use all three of them together it can be difficult but a breeze to use.

Myrtle Beach In A Snap Shot!

Myrtle Beach is a beautiful place no matter on all the bad you hear! This beach is located 

on the South Carolina coast. There is so many attractions here and so much to do. There is a board walk, two actually that you can walk on. The big one is located on North Myrtle Beach along with a mall. The mall is huge! There are so many good stores to go to on the boardwalks and my favorite is ITS SUGAR. As the name says it's candy and it's lots of it too. There are lots of hotels and eating restaurants which I have not found a bad one yet! There are also many different activities you can do from helicopter rides to amusement to mini golf, fishing, and many many more! There is an aquarium that always has a line, and there is also 2 amusement parks. There is a big fairest wheel and a zip line and some other fun things down on the strip that you can enjoy like many mini golf places and there are many hotels also. We have always stayed at the Sun and Sand Resort and we love it, never had a complaint about them the people are really nice! My parents stayed at the ocean-view  or front one of the two and they love it, they had never had any complaints about their stay. There is a hotel unsure if it's still there called the Gay Dolphin and it has a gift shop that is upstairs and it has many grab bags for kids and even adults and I use to love getting one as a kid and showing all my friends what I've gotten.
