You are going to have to watch out for GoFundMe scams. A lot of them are going to tell you to message you and loop you in to paying them so much money to market your GoFundMe. It is not what it use to be.
People don't really give you money. People also are getting clout from it to make themselves look better.
Sometimes you may get people who want you to pay them so much money to offer marketing services or advice and then depending on if they actually do what they say they will you may make a little bit on your go fund me but will you make the money you spent back? Often times they will take the money and run. They will also tell you to message them to get you to buy their services be careful of this.
