13 days Post op

Let me just say, I am having pelvic and lower belly pain. I am now lightly bleeding but I was having brown discharge when wiping and it smelled or iron.

My appointment is Thursday and I have some questions for them. I did message them in the portal sometime last week and they said the pain is expected and that the light pink blood when wiping is also expected and if it gets to the point I can no longer take it just go to the ER just so they can rule out infection.

This is the longest time I have bleed for. I have been walking, I have been doing thing around the house expecting that I would be better this far out but honestly I feel horrible. I am nauseated, I have the sweats.

Every time I try to take my temperature it ranges between 97.6 and 98.9 and there is no sign of a fever but I feel like I am running one and hot. I am suppose to only do light duty and not lift anything until the 2 week appointment but the hospital failed to tell me that. They told me I could start easing into things and I should be fine to do things in a week.

The doctors office told me this was going to be an in and out thing and that I should start feeling better in a week but let me tell you, I do not feel better at all. When I first got it done, I was like ah okay. This is a breath of fresh air but now everything is hurting again. I am leaking brown and pink and I am just over it.

I just wished that I feel better and things were not this what but they are. I have to wait 6 months to know if the Uterine ablation worked or not and if it did not then I am going to have the uterine artery embolization.

I thought I would be so much better and feel so much better but no I don't. I feel worst and everything feels like it is pressing down again. I went this route because the surgeons fear that everything was fussed together due to scar tissue and he was afraid that he would end up taking out my bladder instead and he even put in the notes that I might of ended up on chronic cauterization because he might take my bladder during hysterectomy instead of my uterus.

I have been told I will be in pain for weeks into months and that I can shed my tissue for about 3-6 months.

I got a hysteroscopy & Endometrial Ablation

Let me tell you, this is going to hurt when you first get it done. It will burn and you will be in pain but the day after surgery it does not hurt as bad anymore.

You will be throbbing and on pelvic rest until 2 weeks. Honestly this was the best option I went. I got mine done January 14th and I feel way better. I do not feel like my uterus is super heavy anymore nor is there a lot of pressure.

I could not get the hysterectomy even if I wanted to because my bladder and uterus and probably part of my bowels are fused together with scar tissue and the doctor said it was risky for him to do that and I had a possibility of dying

They also said of the pain and stuff gets bad again I am going to have a second surgery that includes going through groin area and go into the uterus into blood vessels and stop the blood from going into certain parts that are no longer need.

I also had issues with my heart rate because when I woke up it was 44/50 and it kept going up and dropping. It was rough but once it came back up I felt better.

I did not bleed as much with this operation only spotted a little bit here and there at the beginning however the 3rd day is like a light period.

I am expected to have a few periods to help get it out the rest of the way but we are not 100% sure I well have a period or not anymore after that.

The doctor is also afraid that the Adenomyosis is on the uterus tissue and he could not get it all so we are looking out for that also after recovery. I also have PCOS on top of this that is makes things difficult.

Honestly this surgery was the best thing I could do. I feel way better already and my uterus does not feel heavy like it did unless I have to pee then my bladder makes it heavy.

I have no incision to worry about the only thing is I am on risk of infection for 2 weeks reason why I got a post op appointment but other than that taking it easy.

I do not have any incisions to worry about but I do have an infection risk until everything goes back to normal.
