Weight loss Journey and Goals

I have been on a diet and although it may not look like i, I have. I have been cutting back foods, cutting out sugary drinks and drinking zero sugar ones instead. I also have been drinking juices, and water also. I have changed up my eating patterns to make sure that I am getting the right amount of stuff I need and eating the right amount so I do not have to go back snacking later. I also am weighing my food to make sure I am getting the right portion size also. To stay on a weight loss journey it takes a lot of disciple. It takes a lot of strength to actually lose weight and stay on the path. It is even harder when you have health conditions that does not allow you to loose weight and trust me I have two of them and I am working my hardest to resist the sweetness and sugar urges I get where I just want nothing but sugar. My heaviest weight was 240 and now I stay around 228-230.  My goal is 165 so I have to loose 64lbs. I am always trying to improve my diet and my health. I also am starting to food prep and watch a lot of my foods that I am eating.

I have been using the MyNetDiary and it gives me recipes and things to help me along the way. It also counts my calories. I did not have to buy the subscription I could use the non subscription side but I have been using it for about a year and wanted to see what the side opens up and oh boy let me tell you it gives you so much more!

The thing is its only a yearly payment so if you buy it now your good until 2027. I also love how I can take a picture of my food and the AI calculates everything for me. You can also scan barcodes and it grabs the calories off of things. If the item is not there you can upload it to them and they will put it in. If the items information is incorrect you can also upload it and get them to fix it.

You can also manually put in what you ate and it can pull it but if its new or something they have not had on there you are going to have to get the macros for it. 

It can also project how long it will take you to get your weight loss goals. It can also help you lower your calories if you want to meet your weight loss goal quicker and it will tell you how many days and weeks it can take if you loose a certain amount of lbs a week.

It keeps up with your calories, weight, water intake, steps, fitness and how much you eat throughout the day ranging from Calories, Carbs, Proteins, Fats, Sodium and more.


The Scale that I use to weigh my body, I love it. It tells me how much I weigh and then I can use an app to see what I have going on. It tells me my muscle mass, my body fat, my BMI, and so much more. This scale was the best purchase ever.

Mynetdiary

 My Net Diary is a calorie tracker a place for recipes and so much more. You can use a free version of it or you can pay for a premium version. The premium version gives you recipes, and it will help you with a weight loss goal, and tells you how much you loss or how much you are eating. I however enjoy the premium because it gives me so much more information unlike the free plan. The free plan allows you to track your food macro like carbs, fat, protein, calories, your weight, and other stuff but the premium goes in dept and can make your goal into an action plan. I recommend this if you need a little help achieving your calories and weight loss goals!

Calorie tracking: My net diary app

 Along with my sugar free diet, I decided to start calorie counting and tracking to see how much I eat in a day and boy let me tell you. Some of the foods that looks like there's barely any calories in them there is a lot not only of calories but fats and sugar and some of them you would never know it. The calorie tracker I use is My Net Diary and it pretty much calculates a lot of things from weight, what I am eating, what is inside of what I eat. 

There is even an AI that detects what your food is when you take a photo of it. If it has a barcode you can scan it in and see if it is there and if it is not, you can log it by hand or take a photo of it and it will update it for you. There is a lot in this app and it is useful. It also tracks water intake, your steps and if you exercise which is a good all in one app. 

There is a premium that gives you a lot more things such as recipes and meals, daily feedback and advice and a few other things in which sounds great but I do not have the money so I only use the free side and had no issue.

Something else I pair this app with is my smart watch because it allows me to gather certain things like my heart rate, my exercise and how many calories I have lost just from walking or whatever it is that I am doing. This app goes hand in hand with it and is very useful and you can even log what your watch says into the MyNetDiary app and it is just a life saver. Since the watch connects to your phone also.

Sugar Free diet

After years of being sugar dependent and wanting to switch up my diet but my mindset would not allow me to. It was hard. I struggled with the mindset that I am going to switch up my diet, I am going to stop drinking sodas and I felt like I was lying to myself, in which I was.

 I kept saying I am going to get off of sugary sodas and I was going to do this and I was going to do that but in the long run I was not until recently. When I first wanted to do this, it was like I could not. It was like my body wanted it, craved it and I depended on it but now, it has totally changed and now I want nothing but sugar free.

 I have stopped drinking sugary drinks and have switched to Sugar free sodas and boy I can tell the difference. I can actually tell the difference especially if I take a sip of non sugar free drinks. Now the non sugar free drinks taste like syrup. 

I also drink water with water flavor packets and squeeze's  to change the taste since something, I cannot drink water and it makes me throw up. 

I am also working on switching out sugar to Splenda in which, growing up I use to use it also because I was a borderline diabetic and it helped me by taking out the normal sugar content. 

I do not eat cake really and it is rare for me to eat chocolate so I do not have to cut that out but I do have to work on pasta and breads in which I am going to work on eventually. I also love a good salad so I have no issue there. 

I have noticed switching to this diet that I do not say bloated like I was. I also am not having pancreatitis like I was since switching and I wake up in a better mood and feeling everyday. I also noticed that I am not dehydrating as much as I would with sugary sodas and I am not battling kidney stones anymore. 

I also found that I am able to eat more now then when I was drinking sugary sodas.

I also am taking Digestive Enzymes to help break down things since I do have the problem where my digestive tract has issues to the point where my system does not digestive well. My GI told me this would help me in the long run and I take it everyday and it helps me also with any discomfort that I feel and it helps me eat a little more then I normally would.

This diet made me feel a lot better.

Hint Water

 Are you like me and cannot drink just plain water because the the taste of the water or you're body just doesn't like it? Try Hint Water. 

With me being sick, I cannot stomach a lot of things but one of the things that I can besides juice is Hint water. 

Hint water is a great water. It has a hint of fruit flavoring that is not that strong and you can taste it as an after taste. 

The bonus for this water is there are no sugars, calories, total fats, sodium, total carbohydrates, or anything of that nature. They have all kinds of different flavors you can choose from and it is really healthy.  

I personally use the watermelon because I cannot stomach the blackberry. To me the blackberry is to much for me and a little stronger.

The flavors that they have are Blackberry, Watermelon, Pineapple peach, Peach, Cherry, Peach Raspberry, Blueberry lemon, Pineapple, Coconut, Apple.

This water is vegan and free of sugars, sweeteners, MSG, nuts, soy, gluten and preservatives so it is great for gluten free and diabetics.
