Awareness on Kidney diesase and gout

 

Did you know that your uric acid can go pass 11? My husbands is currently 12.4 and he can tell a lot difference in it. It is making him severely stiff and causing his back to hurt in spots that normally hurt when ever his kidney does what it does. He was born with only one kidney and did not know it until recently with CTs and ultrasounds.

We found out hydration helps with this. He normally drinks electrolyte things such as Gatorade, and body armors and Pedialyte and other hydration things. 

This is something you have to know and things you have to watch for with Gout and stage 3 kidney disease. 

There are a lot of warning signs that you have to look for. It all started with knots in his ankles and feet. He did not know what was causing it and he kept working with it the way it was. A few days it would clear up and he was okay. 

Then it would come back every so often.  Then it went into his knees and he got to where he could not walk. Then it went into his ribs and every breath caused him pain along with moving. He ended up going to the hospital. They prescribed him Meloxicam which done some damage to his kidney. 

He was taking it not knowing and then he went to his primary and she could not figure out what was wrong. He ended up going to another hospital for his kidney. 

He then decided to go to make the hospital doctor his primary and he referred him out in 2024 determined he had Rheumatoid Arthritis. After a year of that they recommend he goes see a Nephrologist for his kidney because he only had one and the medications they had were kind of harsh since his GFR was going up and down. 2025 he was referred out and now its 2026 and he is finally getting something done for it. 

They have him scheduled for a Krystexxa Infusion October 2nd at 2026. We are hoping this works. We will know after the second blood work if it worker or not and if it did not, then they are not going to do the infusions we are going to have to find another route.

He also had curled toes since birth. He also cannot make a fist because the gout is so bad in his joints. He can't walk for long periods of times nor sit for long period of times because it puts a strain on his back, legs, ankles and feet. It also effects his wrists and the tops of his hands causing a lot of pain making it so he cannot move them. 

 He works remotely but even that is putting a strain on him but he is still doing it until something else works out. We already know his job is not going to hold because with the first round of Krystexxa it can cause flare ups and he only is limited to so many days per month to miss. He also has to miss 48 hours prior to the infusion for blood work. 

  

One thing I would say is to watch what you eat because that has an effect on a lot of it. He found out that grabbing just one Soda that has high fructose corn syrup in it can throw things out of whack not only that but pork, sea food especially crab and a bunch of foods. He is also allergic to a lot of things so we have to keep an eye on that as well. With his autoimmune disease a lot of things he was not allergic to made it to where he is now allergic.

All Flash, No Cash: The Hypocrisy of Fake Flexing

What really grinds my gears is when people complain nonstop about being broke, and then turn right around and flaunt their money. They’ll talk big, acting like big shots, saying things like, "If so-and-so sees this, they’ll tell me to get one, and they’ll buy one too."

I honestly don’t get it. You sit there crying about not having any cash, and then five minutes later you’re acting like a baller when you really don't got it. It’s all smoke and mirrors, and it makes zero sense.

Personally, I couldn’t care less what people have or how much money is in their bank account. That doesn’t bother me at all. Everyone's journey is different. What makes me mad is when people just talk to hear themselves talk, bragging and flashing cash when they know full well that others are struggling and just trying to get by.

To top it off, they love to throw shade at people who can't afford to blow money on every little trend or thing. They act smug and talk down to folks who are actually being responsible—people who are prioritizing their bills, keeping the lights on, and making sure their household is taken care of. It’s like these braggarts completely forget what real life looks like when you have a family, a home, and actual grown-up responsibilities to look after.

At the end of the day, real wealth isn't about putting on a show for social media or acting like a big spender while your foundation is crumbling. Give me peace of mind, paid bills, and a secure home over fake flexing any day of the week.

The struggle of being used Family edition

                                                                                                                   So my aunt and her whole house is sick. They have coughing, sneezing, wheezing, fevers, chills and she has diarrhea.  My aunt ended up going to the hospital due to her leg turning purple. They said her family is going through sinuses and not COVID or anything. Another thing she thinks they are thinking is that her leg is septic or it became back infected again. 

We unfortunately are who they call on when they need something and honestly it feels like it has been never ending because they always need something because I feel bad but however I am tired of doing it. This is the thing with having a big heart and trying to help people. It ends up making you burned out and putting stress on you. It can even run you into the ground and break you.

Months ago we where needed because she had to go to the ER and stayed for a month due to an infection in her leg and I was cooking and bring them plates and food every day so they could eat not just them but their son too he was at home and then their daughter stayed with us for about 2-3 months every weekend it felt.

This all started in 2025ish when they had to move and then she had to quit her job due to her health in the end of 2025 beginning of 2026 and they became dependent on us to try to help them.

First I was fine with it. I didn't want nothing bad to happen to them but then my husband started getting worst with his gout flare ups and his kidney disease turned into stage three and it put a lot on us with him trying to juggle basically 2 houses. It started with small things.

We helped them get their house up to code, helped them with a little bit here there then bought them kerosene to help heat the place and then we were asked for money who they can get food repeatedly and monthly and go to the store. I'm not complaining about that but it was putting a strain.

We told them about remote jobs and it never came to that it was always us being called as if we don't have a life to live. I felt sorry at the beginning but now I'm overly exhausted and I finally got over the first time but here it comes again and I refuse to do it this time and do all this running back and forth.

They got themselves straightened out while it feels like I have to do stuff to get the money back we helped them out with and that is not right at all. They did not even offer to pay.

My mother and father are at feud with them for my mother going behind my father's back and giving them money to move on.

My husband is supposed to start his Krystexxa treatments around the beginning of October however we may have to push it back due to him having auto immune issues and we could be sick from having to get things for their house.  He is also trying to work as much as he can because we already know with his health and Krystexxa his job won't hold it for him since Krystexxa is 2 days every two weeks and he also has gout flare ups and they are cracking down in which is why I am trying to promote and market as much as I can because he is going to need more help. 

Another thing is that they get a check from him and the daughter prior to all of this because he is disabled and now she has her disability going and all I hear is about is back pay and how much they get a month and I watch them by all these things that they could not afford but now suddenly can afford.

Krystexxa for gout

Krystexxa is an infusion that they give for gout. However it is not your normal infusion. 

 

For starters you have to take a steroid and an allergy med before you can even start the infusion because it can send you into allergic response. 

 

You also have 2 days out of every two weeks you have to go for this. One day is for blood work for uric acid the next day is for the infusion.It is given while you are at the facility. 

 

If you did not know Krystexxa can pretty much give you a severe allergic reaction and they have a lot of precautions for it. They start giving you Methotrexate 4 weeks prior to help with the immune systems to avoid reactions.

If they draw the uric acid that determines if it works or does not work or if its even worth continuing.

The first visit it could show an effect but the second visit it could of not work so it is a toss up.

My husband has finally gotten approved for this but we already know his job is going to let him go because of everything so I am trying to find ways to make money on the side while I am taking care of him and our kids and homeschooling them.

Judging a book by its cover | AI history

The publishing world is currently grappling with a massive ethical divide over artificial intelligence, particularly when it comes to book cover art. You see the sentiment everywhere online: readers flat-out declaring they will boycott any book featuring an AI-generated cover.Yet, there is a fascinating irony in this backlash. The Dream That Wouldn’t Take Off: A Decade of Trying, Failing, and Still Showing Up

 Do not expect things to come up. Do not expect to get seen overnight. Its not going to work. Your plans will fail. Every thought that you have may fail and be unsuccessful. 

I had a dream, a plan a vision that everything I would do would tie together and allow me to generate income for my family so my husband can take time for himself and heal since he is dealing with gout, Rheumatoid arthritis and Kidney Disease and needs a lot of help at times. I was trying everything to get things off the ground from streaming, blogging, YouTube, ko-fi, marketing, networking, photography and a lot of other things. I done a lot of micro tasking also just trying to make it and some days it's like why even bother trying still to this day. 

This blog right here has been around since 2014 but started posting in 2016.

 This was my first ever blog and I started it in high school because it was easy for me to share photos, my thoughts and everything else including my writing. 

I met my husband in 2015 and then I found out I was pregnant in 2016 so then my son came along at the end of 2016 he was an emergency and he had his umbilical cord wrapped around his throat so I had an emergency C-section. 

We were struggling and had to find some kind of work so I turned to affiliate marketing every day such as clothes, jewelry electronics.

It did not work either but then I turned to adult affiliate marketing and that worked in 2017 all the way until COVID and then it stopped.

I was also doing photography thinking that would help and bring income also. It did not I only sold a few pieces and made 1.00 which still sits in the accounts.

 We were also trying to get twitch and YouTube up. Twitch came up. 

We got affiliated in 2018 with help of friends and then it was steady and then it died slowly. YouTube channel has been around 2013 and barely has any subs or views.

 I got pregnant again in 2017 with my second son in which I was on birth control. I had a lot of health complications. My gallbladder was messed up. I stayed sick I ended up having to have an ERCP and an EGD which means gallstone removal from duct and then stent removal from pancreas which made me even sicker because the stent did not stay where it was suppose to it turnt and caused me a lot of pain and ended up with chronic pancreatitis every so often still to this day.

In 2019 my daughter came and everything was smooth with her. After I had her I ended up getting my gallbladder out and was smooth.

Until 2020-2024 I ended up getting severely sick. I caught COVID 5 times in 2020 and then I was dealing with a lot of gastritis, ulcerative colitis, GERD, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, pain in the left side near the colon.

 I ended up going to my obgyn thinking something was wrong since I was missing my period and she diagnosed me with PCOS. I went months back and forth from primary to hospital to primary.

 I ended up saying forget it. I ended up doing a colonoscopy and they found an infection. Was put on antibiotics that made me severely sick and went for a second opinion on the gi scan. They said it was okay and I have IBS. 

I ended up switch primaries and then OBGYN and in 2026, I had an ablation for adenomyosis and got diagnosed with PCOS again on top of it and both makes things difficult so I may end up having another surgery where they go through the groan and go into the uterus and cut the nerve so I can no longer feel the pain since due to my history they are scared to do a hysterectomy due to fear of cutting and taking out the bladder and needing more than one surgery to fix it. 

They are wanting to do another colonoscopy on me to see what else is wrong with my stomach again since I am still having problems with it and pain, lack of energy and barely any appetite.
