I decided to go back to college and it different than before. I am now going to Maestro University or college and let me tell you it has been something else since I have started.
For one, it is AI based. You have a bot pretty much walking you through everything and if you do not get it, you can tell him to break it down until you do. You can also personalize him in the settings and tell him how you would like to learn.
The support such as financial aid, administrations do not get back to you until days later and if you have papers you need to fill out you better figure it out because they will give you the run around and you will not have them in time especially if you are on SNAP. They will tell you they cannot do anything due to certain dates on it and then you are in limbo trying to figure out how to get your papers signed and everything done.
You do not use your financial aid. It is all scholarship even through you have to put your FASFA in and put the school, it does not use it nor the Pell grant in which the Pell grant will go back to the government. They will give you the scholarship incase you were wondering.
If you are in a course you do not like nor understand like me, I am in AI software engineering and I have been struggling trying to figure out what is even happening because we are supposedly learning phyton and I do not get it, I got first week but once we started doing returns and other stuff, I just don't get it and even with him explaining, I still do not know how to set it up. You are going to have to wait until you can switch. They have it on pause and you will get the run around trying to change courses in which if you do not like it then you are stuck until you can switch.
You have a discussion post that is worth 10 bonus points if you do it. It comes out every Wednesday and is due Sunday along with all the weeks work.
If you have credits elsewhere you cannot transfer or carry them over to Maestro. You are starting completely over and you have to take associates first, you cannot jump into BS degrees. Also another thing is you can switch programs but you have to catch it when it is open and your scholarship will still cover it.
Courses for AS last 2 years and then BS last I believe 4 years.
If you are unsure of answers the bot gives you answers on the bubbles above the typing box. He will also answer incorrectly at times and not go step by step. Oh and if you are coding like me you can make him write the whole code, copy and paste it in the code tester also you can copy the codes he makes and put it in there instead of typing it out.
If you complete term 1 you will get a commentary MacBook.
