uterine artery embolization instead of hysterectomy

 Due to the flu and everything else going around we decided to wait on the hysterectomy however the doctor is going to do a uterine artery embolization first since insurance has not approved of the hysterectomy. 

They are going to biopsy and do exploratory to see what else is going on with it and then months to year later they are going to remove it. 

The uterine artery embolization takes about a week to heal unlike the hysterectomy. The hysterectomy will take 4-6 weeks.
