You have to find a niche for you that fits you to market. It is always good to get a sample product from the company to see how it is and to test it and review it. Reviewing the product allows you to get to know the quality and how the products you are trying to get out there are.
It is never a good idea to go into the blind about products because you could be marketing some horrible items and you would never know. It is also a good idea to research about the companies you are trying to join so you know their reputation and if it is going to make or break you.
