Milk and Bread

Everytime it snows here the first thing people grab is all the milk and all the bread. I understand it but just to let you know you can also grab can goods. The milk you can sit it in the ice and snow if the power go out and the bread you can eat it but what about the can goods? You can just open them and eat them if need be. You can also cook on a kerosene heater or wood stove or even grill if  the power goes out.There is no reason just to be grabbing milk and bread.
